Introduction

LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE is a network adaptor for all LAP-TEQ sensors. LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE is available as a stand-alone unit with 3 sensor inputs and as a plug-in board for the LAP-TEQ PLUS MOTION receiver. LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE translates LAP-TEQ sensor data to the TCP/IP protocol. Sensor data can be displayed in a normal web browser. Sensor data is also available in a proprietary JSON format and can easily be imported into third party software.

Known limitations and issues

If you encounter any problems while using LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE please contact sales@teqsas.de.

These are some known limitations of the current software:

It is recommended to connect with no more than 3 web clients at a time.

LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE might crash if the website is already running (and requesting data) in a browser while the unit is powered up.
It is recommended to close all browser windows before powering up LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE.

Under Safari or Edge the website might hold on the ”connecting” screen.
Changing network settings or adding notes under Safari or Edge might result in a white, blank webpage being displayed. Simply reload the webpage with the new ip address.

Best results are achieved with Chrome or Firefox!

Connecting sensors and sensor inputs

LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE has three XLR 3pin sensor inputs. These inputs are compatible to all LAP-TEQ sensors:

- LAP-TEQ PLUS PLUS INCLINOMETER sensor with green laser
- LAP-TEQ PLUS ATMOSPHERE temperature and humidity sensor
- LAP-TEQ PLUS ELEVATION sensor
- LAP-TEQ PLUS LOAD sensor
- the old ("legacy") LAP-TEQ inclinometer sensor

These sensors have a male + female XLR and can be daisy-chained:
LAP-TEQ PLUS ELEVATION can be daisy-chained to LAP-TEQ PLUS, LAP-TEQ PLUS ELEVATION or the legacy LAP-TEQ sensor.
LAP-TEQ PLUS ATMOSPHERE can be daisy-chained to LAP-TEQ PLUS ELEVATION, LAP-TEQ PLUS or the legacy LAP-TEQ sensor. If daisy-chained, LAP-TEQ PLUS ATMOSPHERE must be "first on the cable" (closest to LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE). LAP-TEQ Atmosphere must be firmware version 1.09 or higher to work correctly with LAP-TEQ PLUS INTERFACE.

Network setup

The default network settings of LAP-TEQ INTERFACE are:

IP address: 192.168.1.222
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway address: 192.168.1.1

LAP-TEQ INTERFACE does not support DHCP. Each LTWP unit has to be assigned a unique, fixed IP address.
Pressing the hidden "RESET" push button for 5s resets the LAP-TEQ INTERFACE back to the default network settings.
LAP-TEQ INTERFACE can be accessed by entering the network address in the address field of your web browser:

To change the network settings click on the setup icon (top right). After entering a new ip address, subnet mask and gateway address click on "Apply + Reboot".

Multiple LAP-TEQ INTERFACE can be displayed in one browser window. First you have to assign a unique IP address to every LAP-TEQ INTERFACE unit. Second you connect to one of the LAP-TEQ INTERFACE by entering the IP address in your browser. This LAP-TEQ INTERFACE will be always be at the top of list.
To find additional LAP-TEQ INTERFACE units on the network and display them in the same browser window, click on "SETUP" and then "FIND FRIENDS".
After a few seconds all LAP-TEQ INTERFACE units found on the network will show up in your browser.
